Coppelia plot
The fledgling love between Zwaantje and Frans is threatened by the beautiful Coppelia. She is the creation of Doctor Coppelius, a plastic surgeon who seduces the villagers with the idea of perfect beauty. Frans is also enchanted by her. But the wayward Zwaantje discovers that Coppelius mainly means evil. In his beauty salon, he steals the unique character traits.

Colourful, beautifully designed combination of animation and ballet based on the Dutch National Ballet's performance of the 19th century ballet piece of the same name, which is in turn based on the short story 'Der Sandmann' by ETA Hoffmann. Swan [Michael DePrince] has a stall in the same square where Franz [Daniel Camargo]'s bike shop is located. A romance develops between the two that catches the eye of Doctor Coppelius [Vito Mazzeo], a charlatan who convinces the villagers that he can perfect their looks. But they pay a dear price for that. Although the choreography and the quality of the dancers are not always very high, it scores very high points in terms of visual expressiveness and technique. It goes without saying that the music can also be there.
