Vrankrix en het Amst€rdamse Rijk plot

The comic 'Asterix and the Roman Lusthof' is the source of inspiration for this documentary: the small Gallic village that is in danger of becoming surrounded by Roman high-rises with hotels, thermal baths, play centers and tourists. The city center of Amsterdam is turning into one big money machine, but the anarchist queer community Vrankrijk continues to bravely resist the greed that surrounds them. The stronghold with 19 residents on the upper floors and a radical political meeting center for activists from Western Europe on the ground floor. Hip-hop, punk, queer, the refugee problem, do-it-yourself, solidarity, anarchos, sharing economy, veganism, globalism, everything comes together in this small microcosm.
