Hazeke, the daughter of the innkeeper Tapmans, is going to marry Paul, the son of the wealthy manufacturer Conti. However, Hazeke learns that her husband-to-be spends a lot of time with a certain Mary. She flees the wedding and moves in with Jef and Sooi. Paul goes looking for his bride and finds Hazeke through Jef and Sooi.
