The Last Tattoo plot

"Not all wars are fought on the Battlefield."

New Zealand, 1943. Nurse Kelly Towne has been busy since the US Navy has been in Wellington dealing with venereal diseases. Together with Captain Mike Starwood, she searches for the fiancée of a murdered naval officer, a prostitute who can probably tell more about the man's death. It appears to be a case involving the military leadership.
