Buck up for Hollywood movies with a female cast and a female director; this combination rarely works. This old-fashioned action piece unfortunately provides further evidence for this statement: the film is mushy, forced cozy and above all very flat. And of course there is still some dancing to be done. The beautiful Naomi Scott is a bright spot, as is the funny supporting role of Patrick Stewart, but this really doesn't stop there. Weak action scenes, lame humor, cringe-inducing dialogues... in short, the umpteenth failed reboot.

Annoying.

Anyway, I don't see how I can appreciate this film if I can't appreciate the 2000 films either. Still, the company chose this film, and then of course you can hardly ignore it. The result actually came out exactly as I expected, but Banks actually makes it an even worse movie.

Maybe Banks should just stay in front of the camera, because as a director she has little to offer other than forgettable sequels and terrible reboots. Charlie's Angels sometimes uses a slightly different formula, but in general the film stays within expectations. Some world-threatening incident and the task of three figures to help the world once again.

I wonder how the movie will turn out with these 3 dodos. There is not a single figure that is portrayed just a little nicely, and if a minimal supporting role by Centineo still comes out as the best role, you as a viewer know what time it is. Stewart is a big cunt, Scott is invisible and I don't even know the third one by name anymore. It is remarkable how boring they can make eccentric figures.

Some nice images and a nice pace prevent a lower figure, on the other hand this was mainly tame action with a tame background. Add to that three annoying faces who play the lead roles and you have a film that Banks can be very proud of, but from my side will not get much more appreciation than a 1.5 *.
