Zomerbroeders plot
Seventeen-year-old Bora spends that last lazy day of vacation with his friends Dursun and Kagan in a small Turkish coastal village. When he wanders along the beach and boulevard with them, he feels more at home than in the Netherlands. At least, as long as he doesn't get in the way of his authoritarian father. The fact that Bora has fallen in love with his unreachable neighbor Burcu this year does not make life any easier. By pretending to be tougher than he is, Bora tries to make the most of the day. But in doing so, he seems to be mostly in the way of himself.
