A Janela (Maryalva Mix) plot

The funicular Ascensor da Bica runs through the Misericórdia neighborhood of Lisbon and offers perhaps the most scenic ride of all the funiculars in the city. This is the location, quite a traditional neighborhood full of salt-of-the-earth types, for the story of Antonio, an old-fashioned 'Marialva'. This womanizer and pub tiger who scours the fado bars and back alleys of Mouraria apparently doesn't realize his type is outdated – but why should he, if the six ladies he shares the bed with don't seem to mind?
