O Signo do Caos plot
In the first part of the film, we see how gangsters working for the Brazilian Ministry of Press and Propaganda find a stock of negatives of It's All True, a documentary by Orson Welles about Brazil, among others. They decide to ban the film forever, but one of them sees the purest expression of cinematic art in the various scenes and tries in vain to convince his boss, Doctor Amnésio, that the film deserves to be seen. The second part focuses on a party where the officials responsible for censorship celebrate their victory over freedom and creativity.
