While visiting his father, Leevi meets Tareq, a handsome Syrian immigrant who is restoring his family's lake house. Leevi's father leaves for the city and consequently leaves the two gentlemen behind in the beautiful countryside. Leevi and Tareq act on impulse and on the chemistry that clearly exists between them. The only threat to them is the eventual return of Leevi's father. Yet there is also the complex relationship between Tareq and his family in Syria.

What a wonderful romantic drama! Insane cinematography through the pure nature in Finland, the lake, the forests, sunrise and sunset. Beautiful music to match the scenes. Beautiful story about a summer at the lake, odd jobs at the summer house and the explosive romance between Leevi and Tareq. Steaming hot love scenes, sultry sweaty kisses in the sauna, cooling off in the lake, this movie has it all! It's not for nothing that the director chose two beautiful gay actors, because it seems so realistic....... Just a pity that the ending is so sad and sad, so no happy ending! But very much worth watching!!

Director Mikko Makela challenged Finland to recognize the diversity in this film. He wanted to make a film that was Finnish and non-Finnish at the same time. The film was to be seen as portraying most of the things antithetical to Trumpism and Brexitism. This with respect for ethnic, sexual and religious diversity. Makela could identify well with the main character Leevi in that area.

The two protagonists face problems throughout their romance, which they eventually have to face. The landscape of Finland is beautifully portrayed. The film is not unique in its kind, but knows how to touch a sensitive chord at the right moments.
