"Mistakes are hard to hide."
In a village in Missouri, a dog digs up two bodies. Recently divorced Julie is a human wreck in search of stability in her life. Her ex-husband Thad is involved in a murder investigation, but is in fact just a pawn standing in the way of diet guru Gayle Benson and her illegal scheme. When Thad goes missing, the Sheriff refuses to help Julie find him and even prevents an investigation. She then calls in a private detective.

A mediocre film directed by Thomas Rennier. His brother Christopher Rennier was responsible for the script. The brothers previously worked together on Lionhead. Before the project was acquired by Showtime, the film was originally titled "The Weight". Filming took place in Missouri.
In particular, the poor acting largely ruins the entire film. The story has its moments, but otherwise doesn't really get going.
