Verborgen Verlangen plot

The publishing house of the brothers Vincent and Dennis Van Brakel is in the doldrums. When they get their hands on two manuscripts, everything changes. 'Hidden Desire' is a literary masterpiece by the shy Herman Schotte, the second is a trinket by the attractive shoe saleswoman Louise. The brothers convince the authors to switch roles, after which 'Hidden Desire' becomes a bestseller and Herman finally receives recognition for his work. Louise turns out to be a true media star, making Herman jealous of her rising fame.
