The Orchard End Murder plot
1966, Kent. Pauline Cox goes to a village with Mike Robins, because Mike has a game to play there. While Mike is playing the game, Pauline is bored. She goes for a walk and passes the local train station. There she meets Ewen, a man who kills a rabbit in front of her. Pauline, shocked by what she has just seen, returns to attend the match. But when Pauline walks past an apple orchard, she bumps into Ewen again. He attacks her, and the situation spirals out of control...
