Ryan Emerson meets his girlfriend Sarah Thomas' family for the first time. He will have to prove himself and get the approval of her father Greg. Meanwhile, he tries to mask his jealousy for Sarah's former boyfriend Tyler. As they get to know each other, strange things begin to happen: strange footprints on the windows, noises from outside and a bitter hostility from the locals, including the police. When a storm approaches Lake Alice, evil comes, and the family must fight for their lives.
