Shortly before the start of the new school year, 18-year-old Christian falls in love with his English teacher Stella. In an unguarded moment, they find out that they are both attracted to each other. Soon their secret affair threatens to become a scandal.

Rather jumpy love story about a young student and his older English teacher. Sometime in the 1950s on the Baltic Sea coast. Of course, such a relationship does not go unnoticed and encounters a lot of resistance. Oh, it's timeless. This film is not that much special, but the images of the Baltic coast are beautiful and the acting is remarkably good. A bit on the prudish side, but yes, made for TV and then less is possible. The ending is rather theatrical and that could have been a bit more sober for me. But certainly not bad.

The “forbidden” love between a teacher and one of her students is a rewarding subject for dramas. Apart from the tragic twist, this television film, set in the 1960s, therefore tells little new. The acting of the two protagonists nevertheless makes it worthwhile.
