Very Dutch, reasonable comedy. Sometimes quite funny, sometimes too bland. Character development here was good and successful. Sometimes it is also a bit predictable and transparent. And the second half was spent more on drama. Brake 2.5.

Movie starts funny. About the Moroccan as the Dutchman likes to see him. Later on, the film gets a bit more serious and it also pukes a bit. But he still looks good. And there are funny jokes in it.

Otherwise.

In the end, this was a completely different film that I expected. I am not yet familiar with the series, but the poster almost promised a kind of Zombibi like result and this does not actually come in turn , despite a number of people from it also being in it.

In terms of acting, this is a bit better than the average level. From a number of actors. Oaïssa, Ojja, Ouled Radi, Benmoussa and Amhali all impress and rise above the poor acting level. However, there are a few others that can do it less, such as Haoud.

The quality is simply bad, and the film itself isn't even a full-blooded comedy. The poster does promise that, but it isn't. Instead, you get a messy drama that barely completes certain paths or finishes it sloppily. Characters that are important suddenly appear and are suddenly gone.

The drama has no real impact. Some serious things are added, but they never really get through to the viewer because of the way of delivery. The film has little flow, so the pace is also a bit wooden and it doesn't help that only a few jokes are successful.

Even the beautiful Morocco is sloppy portrayed. There is no warm atmosphere or anything like that, and the Dutch streets don't get much credit either. The film is never tiring, but also not very easy to watch because you regularly come up with question marks.

A best attempt at a good drama, but it didn't work. But the aforementioned gentlemen can actually act quite well. In terms of enthusiasm, Ouled Radi in particular is one of the best actors we see in Dutch films. Oaissa, by the way.
