Zastihla Me Noc plot
During the German occupation of Czechoslovakia, the well-known journalist Jozka Jaburková, who works for a communist newspaper, is deported to Ravensbrück concentration camp and imprisoned there. There we see her life up to that point in flashbacks. Her difficult childhood as an illegitimate child of an ultra-religious mother, her struggles with the strict teachers at the girls' school and her further career.

Special and almost forgotten film.
Only 71 votes on Imdb compared to 1.4 million for Schindler's List. And Steven Spielberg has seen the film because his controversial shower scene is copied 1:1 from Juraj Herz's film.
Water or gas?
Herz, who himself was in Auschwitz, said in an interview that he could see the fear in the eyes of the elderly when they stood under the shower heads while he was sure that it was not a gas chamber because of the glass windows.
Herz had no interest in a lawsuit against Spielberg's lawyers.
