Empire Builder plot

Jenny's life has changed dramatically since the arrival of her child. Her days of food activism and urban anthropology have given way to diapers and boring walks in the park. When she inherits a vacation home in the overwhelming nature of Montana, she leaves her safe life behind and travels with her baby to a remote part of the country. While waiting for her husband to arrive, she enjoys a temporary sense of independence, which comes to a dangerous climax when she begins an affair with the man her husband has hired to fix up their house.
