I had heard about this so many times, but never seen it. I must say I was quite surprised. I expected a c-level slasher that would piggyback on the success of Friday The 13th at the time. But this slasher can very well stand on its own. The acting level was pretty good for a slasher and the story was fine too. The film has a good pace, is exciting and never gets boring.

I just thought the prank scene was poorly directed. What exactly is happening. In addition, it is a pity that Tom Savini did not do the effects. Many murder scenes therefore take place off screen and the ones we do see are not very impressive. But the 80's atmosphere and the tension make up for it. I don't even know what to do with the ending...

Great slasher! 3.5 star

Cool slasher in which the first part is mainly about getting rid of a corpse and then in the second part it switches to a lot of kills that look neat. The acting is quite acceptable and towards the end there is a cool horror element with that clown suit. Simple, but effective horror film. 6.5/10

The actors do a good job, but above all kudos to the excellent direction. This is a slasher with suspense à la Hitchcock. The mother motif is also in line with Hitchcock. Excellent atmosphere creation in which the nocturnal environment forms a grateful anchor point. In the final I also thought I saw influence from Argento with that dreamlike atmosphere and the striking use of colors. Or it must be a coincidence. An hour and a half of top entertainment this.
