The second film for director Jason Dalles, and the second film with Jet Jurgensmeyer and Connor Berry after The Little Rascals Save the Day. Dean Cain and Kristy Swanson made six other films together. For example, they were seen in Operation Cupcake, in which Swanson's character also plays a baker. This was Cain's 15th Christmas and dog film.

This sugary Christmas film does not come out well. The story is very standard and clichéd. The story was supposed to be about the dog Belle, but the beast was only seen in a few short scenes. A major flaw is the acting. Swanson in particular plays her character very exaggerated. In addition, the story towards the end is not well developed, and I was left with a negative aftertaste. Nice to have seen once, but far from a keeper.
