A Sweet Sickness plot

"'a RAG and a BONE and a hank of HAIR'"

Dee, an inexperienced small-town actress, decides to move to Los Angeles and pursue a career without allowing herself to be used sexually. But things quickly go wrong when her landlord, from whom she rents a room with a friend, sees her naked and rapes her. However, she is not discouraged and appears a little later at a party, where she has her clothes auctioned. A drunk who buys her panties for $250 wants more for his money. Dee brushes the man off but is kicked out of the club. Looking for a new room, Dee goes on other adventures and ends up being used and abused by every man she meets.
