Ha-Bayit Berechov Chelouche plot
After the death of her husband, Clara, an Egyptian Jewess, moves with her entire family to British Mandate Palestine. She will work there as a cleaning lady. She sends her son Sami, to work, to her boss' workshop. But because of his Sephardic (Jews whose ancestors lived in Spain and Portugal) descent, he is discriminated against there. During a strike, he meets the beautiful Sonia with whom he has sex for the first time. Life in the city is getting harder and the war for independence is getting closer.
