Indeed, sadness and emotions are not fully conveyed, although this is not exactly due to the two protagonists, with Binoche in particular delivering a remarkably sublime performance, but rather due to the elaboration of the story, which feels mysterious but does not contain the surprising denouement. which could be hoped for.

Psychological arthouse with a bit of thriller allure, mysterious and not to forget beautiful imagery (the opening scenes, the close-ups of the two...) but still unable to grip the viewer.

Heavy fare, which left me with a somewhat unsatisfactory feeling. What function the Marian procession has within the story escaped me.

This gloomy film with a lot of subcutaneous tension mainly relies on the acting performances and they are perfectly fine. Juliette Binoche in particular is in top form. It's only the third time I've met Lou de Laâge and I think that could be more.

Totally agree with my predecessors here. First of all, a film with Juliette Binoche is always special and Lou de Laâge has developed into a special actress. The acting here is of great quality, the story is special and the 'gaps' in the story you have to fill in yourself as a viewer. Still, I was left unsatisfied. The emotions of the two women did not enter my mind. Too much remains hidden, unspoken, which keeps me at a distance as a viewer. I too could not place that procession, which is almost terrifying.
