Talent scout Woo-Gon discovers Mi-Jin during an audition and lands her a part in a movie. This costs him his job, because the company he works for would have preferred that role gone to one of their own talents. Mi-Jin does hire Woo-Gon as manager and he works hard to get her roles. Just as she breaks through, ugly rumors about Mi-Jin are spread and she eventually decides to kill herself. Woo-Gon decides to track down the source of the rumors.
