Top designer and architect Maarten van Severen dies in 2005. He leaves behind one of the most extraordinary collections of furniture designs and architectural projects in the world, as well as four young sons, each of whom carries a part of his talents and personality. As the reconstruction of their father's tumultuous and tragic past unfolds, the boys take steps towards a promising future.
