Kevin Spacey will play the Devil in new Italian movie The Contract.
Massimo Paolucci is directing the film, which has been likened to The Devil's Advocate. Al Pacino played Lucifer in the guise of a lawyer in that 1999 hit, and Spacey is set to play a similar role.
The Academy Award winner is still attempting to rebuild his reputation after sexual assault allegations emerged in 2017. Nearly 20 men alleged that Spacey had been inappropriate with them on various sets, with some of the men under the age of consent at the time.
In July of 2023, he was found not guilty of seven charges of assault in a British court.
"I imagine that many of you can understand that there’s a lot for me to process after what has just happened today," he said on the steps of the court after being found not guilty.
"But I would like to say that I’m enormously grateful to the jury for having taken the time to examine all of the evidence and all of the facts, carefully, before they reached their decision.
"I am humbled by the outcome today."
Spacey has made four movies since the accusations emerged - Control, The Man Who Drew God, Peter Fight Eight and now The Contract.
