On a trip from Panama to Guatemala, Stef Biemans, back in Central America, searches for stories in the region where he lived and traveled for fifteen years. For a long time, Central America seemed to be doing well, but counter forces threaten to nullify the positive developments. What is going on and how did it get this far? While traveling in the area between the Americas, Stef Biemans exposes the sensitive situation of many Central Americans in a colorful array of stories and sounds. In addition to the people he speaks, the local sounds also tell part of the story of modern-day Central America. With his dictaphone he captures the distinctive audio that surrounds the residents in their daily lives. Together with the stories, it forms a poetic whole, with which he then tries to build a bridge between different groups.
