The New Batman Adventures plot

The series is set shortly after 'Batman: The Animated Series', and for the most part features the same characters as that series. Barbara Gordon / Batgirl has now officially joined Batman's team. However, Dick Grayson, formerly known as Batman's helper Robin, has started working for himself as Nightwing. That's why early on in the series, Batman recruits young Tim Drake as the new Robin.
