Spartacus: Gods of the Arena plot

In Spartacus: Gods of the Arena, Batiatus will not yet be in charge of the gladiators. Gannicus is the champion of the gladiators in the Ludus, but the house of Batiatus does not yet have enough rights to fight for the championship. Gannicus will change that.

Spartacus: Gods of The Arena is de prequel van Spartacus: Blood and Sand en gemaakt zodat Andy Whitfield op dat moment nog behandeling onderging om zijn Non-Hodgkinlymfoma te bestrijden, iets wat uiteindelijk niet mocht baten. Spartacus speelt dus nog geen rol maar Crixus(Manu Bennett) en Oenomaus(Peter Mensah) zijn nu min of meer de leadfiguren. We zien hoe Crixus bij de stal van Lanista Batiatus(John Hannah) komt en hoe Oenomaus doctore werd. Nieuwe gezichten zijn Dustin Clare als Gannicus, de grote kampioen uit Batiatus Ludus. Jaime Murray als Gaia, de beste vriendin van Lucretia en Marisa Ramirez als Melitta, Oenomaus echtgenote. Spartacus: Gods Of The Arena geeft de serie en zijn personages meer achtergrond en tegelijk introduceert hij met Gannicus een zeer cool personage.

Spartacus: Gods of The Arena is the prequel to Spartacus: Blood and Sand and made so that Andy Whitfield was still undergoing treatment at the time to fight his Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, which ultimately was to no avail. So Spartacus does not play a role yet, but Crixus (Manu Bennett) and Oenomaus (Peter Mensah) are now more or less the lead figures. We see how Crixus gets to the stable of Lanista Batiatus (John Hannah) and how Oenomaus became a doctor. New faces include Dustin Clare as Gannicus, the great champion from Batiatus Ludus. Jaime Murray as Gaia, Lucretia's best friend and Marisa Ramirez as Melitta, Oenomau's wife.

Spartacus: Gods Of The Arena gives the series and its characters more background and at the same time introduces a very cool character with Gannicus.
