Quantum Leap plot
A scientist, Dr. Samuell (Sam) Beckett, "jumps" through a failed time machine experiment in the body of a person from the past. The jumps turn out to be random; however, Dr. Beckett must make every leap to ensure that the person solves a particular problem in his life, thus preventing bigger problems in the future. He is assisted in this by colleague and friend Albert (Al) Calavicci who appears to him as a hologram.
