Excellent miniseries about a girl in an orphanage who learns chess from the caretaker there. A beautiful, original story told in a compelling way. A fascinating main character who you see here grow up to be a grand master. Anya Taylor-Joy is in every scene and knows how to keep the attention. Despite the fact that there is a lot of chess, this never becomes annoying.

Like I said, what a great series. Half Tame

Strong acting, not only from the excellent Anya Taylor-Joy, but also from Dorociński and Camp.

The great thing about the story is that no unnecessary drama is added where it was lurking and hinted at. The drama is in the character Beth Harmon herself. In this case, I can only applaud the fact that it all comes to a happy ending. In the end, it turns out that there are quite a lot of beautiful people with friendship and respect walking around in the series. Maybe a bit sweet but that doesn't matter if it's delivered that way.

Fine production. May there be no second season.

Great series, but I think it's a bit overrated. The scenario just isn't sophisticated enough, and here and there even quite tacky (take the entire last episode for example....

As a modest chess lover it is nice to see another subject pass by, otherwise it is certainly well played and nicely made, but it is difficult to say that we are dealing with an absolute top series.
