Last Week Tonight with John Oliver plot

Weekly satirical news program hosted by comedian John Oliver. In each episode, Oliver showcases some key news from the past week by explaining them both comically and critically. The way in which traditional news programs portray, explain or overlook certain topics is also regularly mocked. There are also some recurring "How is this still a thing?", which focuses on the question of why certain people or things are still popular, such as Daylight Saving Time, Ayn Rand, Columbus Day and the swimsuit special from 'Sports Illustrated'. In addition, the program also includes interviews.
