The Diplomat plot

Laura Simmonds and her Spanish friend and colleague Alba Ortiz are doing everything they can to protect British citizens who get into trouble in Barcelona. They act as a police officer, adviser and lawyer. They deal with the unexplained death of a British bartender who worked in the infamous port of Barcelona. Neither the Spanish police nor the Ministry of Foreign Affairs wants to launch a murder investigation. When Laura and Alba investigate, they discover links to organized crime - and the British security services. But what price will they have to pay for exposing secrets that the British and Spanish want to protect at all costs?
