Mutter: The Diary of a Mother plot

On an empty coastal country road, Gül gives birth in a truck. To the parents' great shock, their newborn can be described as more extraterrestrial than human. After being abandoned by her partner, Gül is left to care for her child alone. But in a community where misogyny is rampant and no one has any interest in providing support to a single mother who, moreover, lives on the fringes of society, motherhood is especially difficult.
