Meat the Future is a documentary about 'cultivated meat': animal cells that grow into real meat in a controlled environment. It is a sustainable way to meet the growing demand for meat in the world, without killing animals or releasing greenhouse gases from cows, pigs or chickens. Central to the film is Uma Valeti, CEO of Memphis Meats, the start-up that aims to be the first to commercialize cultivated meat, and thus could be the cradle of a revolution in the food industry.
