Aim for the Roses plot
Canadian stuntman Ken Carter set out in 1976 to attempt to jump over the St. Lawrence Seaway with his rocket powered car and land in a field of roses. The jump would be over a mile and even the most famous stuntman of all time, Evel Knievel, called it "the stunt of stunts." Carter's compatriot and musician Mark Haney honors Carter 32 years later by recording a special solo album for the double bass in 2008, entirely dedicated to his breakneck undertaking. Years later, another compatriot, filmmaker John Bolton, decides to combine both stories into a 'musical docudrama' called Aim for the Roses.
