Der Mustergatte plot
After an apparently happy two-year marriage, shy banker William Bartlett finds out that his wife is bored to death and even wants to divorce him. Completely stunned, William seeks help from his good friend Jack, who advises him to make his wife jealous so that she will think twice about getting a divorce. William follows this sincere advice, after which everything turns out very differently than he had imagined.
