A Successful Failure plot
Ellery Cushing is full of catchy sayings and old-fashioned wisdom. But all his family cares about is how much money he makes. And all his boss at the newspaper sees in Cushing is that he's getting too old to continue doing his job well. Cushing's loyal colleague Phil Stardon therefore decides to see what he can do to help him so that everyone can see what his friend has to offer.
