Le Crime de Monsieur Lange plot
Monsier Lange is wanted for murder. The lady who loves him explains what has happened in a cafe. She met him in Paris, where she had a launderette. Lange worked for a pulp publisher and wrote a western series. His boss, however, crammed countless sentences into it for the sponsor.

I agree with my predecessors here for the most part. It all looks very nice, but is basically too simple to make it all really high or very good.
The structure is good and keeps you as a viewer somewhat curious about the outcome. The acting is decent and René Lefèvre in particular plays a nice extroverted role. Renoir provides good direction and occasionally delivers something beautiful in terms of cinematography.
So a nice classic, although in my opinion Renoir has delivered some better films than this one here. But it certainly isn't bad.

A kind of farce, although still quite serious. But generally not the kind of movie that appeals to me. The characters and plot didn't interest me and visually I didn't find anything special about it. Now a week later as I type this I hardly remember anything about the movie, except that I found it pretty boring and even the 80 minutes felt like two hours. 1.0*.
